The Clothes Show in association with ALCATEL ONETOUCH returned to the NEC Birmingham from 4-8 December 2015. In line with significant investment to revamp and refuel the long-established event, The Clothes Show boasted a new and improved layout with fresh, innovative features and show dressing that enhanced and enriched the shopping, catwalk and seminar experiences.
With over 350 leading fashion and beauty brands, non-stop catwalk shows, makeovers, manicures, beauty demonstrations and style advice, 2015 offered an all-new fashion experience. Visitors were treated to appearances from Rick Edwards, Gemma Cariney, Alice Levine, Jamie Laing, Andy Jordan, Joey Essex, Binky Felstead, Sprinkle of Glitter, Carol Wright, plus performances from music acts including Ella Eyre, Charli XCX, Rae Morris, 4th Impact, and Josh Daniel.
Good Results were onsite to run the press office, The Clothes Show social media platforms and managed the talent thought-out the 5 days. Over 300 journalists and bloggers attended the show, covering the UK’s biggest fashion festival of the year. The event was a huge success with great feedback from visitors, the press and exhibitors.
This Wednesday, our SS16 Press Day took place in the art-deco inspired Billiard Room, in The Sanderson hotel.
With an early morning start, it was coffees all round as the GR team transformed the space into a pop-up showroom , ready for the doors opening to press at 9.30am.
Guests were welcomed by the beautiful blooms of Wildabout, taking centre stage, and the scents of Capri Blue and Found Goods Market candles filling the room.
The Little Mistress Group gave press a sneak preview of January/February and March collections, with their shoe collection cascading down the staircase, along with the Chloe Lewis Christmas Edit on show.
Playful Promises captured the attention of press with their all-new clothing line (in particular, a very lust-worth embroidered velvet jacket!), and Wolf & Whistle had everyone thinking of holiday wardrobes with their new swimwear and main line SS16 collection.
Becksondergaard’s SS16 collection did not disappoint with Instagram-worthy prints and patterns galore, and the hand-drawn prints from Sugarhill Boutique were equally as popular.
5pm means cocktail time at a GR Press Day – cue the lychee martinis!
We closed the doors at 7pm and as if by magic, the Billiard Room was back to its usual setting by 8pm.
